5 Tips to improve posture and health when Gaming

The gaming industry is always expanding and is currently worth £200 Billion. It comes as no surprise that millions of gamers worldwide spend a lot of time seated at their gaming desk for extended periods of time. As fun as it may be to escape into a new fantasy realm or to command armies from your desk, it's not uncommon to spend entire days sedentary, putting many games at risk of injury and long term health issues. To prevent this the best thing to do is be mindful of your body and wellbeing, try implementing healthy gaming habits and focus on your posture when Gaming.

Here are some tips to improve and look after your health when spending many hours at your gaming desk:

 

Invest in a comfortable and ergonomic gaming desk setup:


Sitting for long periods of time can cause strain on the back and shoulders, so it's important to have a chair and desk that supports good posture. Look for chairs with adjustable lumbar support, a comfortable seat, and a backrest that can be tilted at an angle that's comfortable for you. Take frequent breaks:

Look for a mouse that fits comfortably in your hand and a keyboard that has a comfortable and natural angle for your wrists. Practise good Posture when Gaming:


Good posture isn't just about sitting up straight, it's also about engaging your core muscles and keeping your shoulders back and down. When gaming, try to keep your shoulders relaxed and your head in a neutral position. This will help to reduce the risk of muscle strain and tension headaches.
